A Goshthi programme was organised on 29th May 2023 under the Programme Mission Life in vill Pachkhura Khurd, District Hamirpur UP. The Theme of Goshthi programme was based on a Creating awareness for rain water Harvesting and its efficient use. In the programme farmers were advised to harvest water to mitigate the effect drought through ex-situ and in-situ method of water conservation.

The Theme of Goshthi programme was based on a Campaign on soil health management. In the programme practical demonstration was given on soil sampling method. Farmers were made aware about soil organic carbon, Foliar nutrient application addition of organic manure in their fields.

The Goshthi programme was based on a Promotion of climate resilient crops/varities/ Seeds. In the programme main emphasis was given on different varities of pulses suitable for dryland condition and irrigated condition. Farmers were advised to take short duration varities of pulses in water deficient zone .

केंद्रीय कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण मंत्री माननीय नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर सर ने केवीके ,हमीरपुर (BUAT ) की उत्कृष्ट कृषि तकनीक को DRI चित्रकूट मे आयोजित इंटरनेशनल कांफ्रेंस के दौरान अवलोकन किया। प्रथम अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन सतत विकास के लक्ष्य पर चित्रकूट में राज्यमंत्री जल शक्ति माननीय रामकेश निषाद जी के द्वारा केवीके हमीरपुर अवलोकन के समय केंद्र में विकसित वाटर स्मार्ट टेक्नोलॉजी एंड इकोनामिक ग्रोथ/ जल बचाओ तकनीक पर कृषि वैज्ञानिक के साथ से विभिन्न पहलुओं पर परिचर्चा किया। ग्रामीण विकास एवं इस्पात मंत्री भारत सरकार माननीय फग्गन सिंह कुलस्ते प्रथम अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन सतत विकास के लक्ष्य पर डीआरआई चित्रकूट में भ्रमण के दौरान केवीके हमीरपुर की उत्पादित शहद तथा तकनीकी प्रदर्शन रेड लेडी पपीता बुंदेलखंड के क्षेत्र में होने पर वैज्ञानिक से वार्तालाप हुई।
A two-day seminar program on Pulses Production Challenge, Prospects, and Strategy in Bundelkhand was organized by KVK, Hamirpur under the UPKAR-RKVY(Centre of excellence- Pulses) dated on 28-03-2022 to 29-03-2022 to focus on Challenge, Prospects and Strategy in Bundelkhand. Dr. AC Mishra, Director Research BUAT, Banda, inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. There were about 96 participants attended the program including, officers from BUAT, Farmers, Students, Farmer Producer organizations, NGOs, Aganbadi workers etc During the seminar to main focus was given to major constraints, scope, and new improved practices, value addition and socio-economic upliftment of small and marginal farmers through the inclusion of pulses. Dr. AC Mishra, Director research BUAT, Banda, said that Bundelkhand is famous in the whole country by the name of pulse bowl. In order to increase the availability of pulses, he encouraged new varieties of pulses, along with producing seeds with farmer participation. He also stated the role of seed hub in bringing self-sufficiency and focused on the scope of Natural farming in the Bundelkhand region. Dr. L.B. Yadav, Joint Director of Agriculture, Chitrakoot Dham Mandal, Banda encourages farmers for seed production of new and improved varieties of pulses, and said it would help in increasing the seed replacement ratio in the area and the farmers of the district would also become self-reliant with quality seeds and become economically and socially strong. Dr. Dev Singh, Director, BKDSS while discussing in detail about the Farmer Producer Organization. He said that FPO can play a major role in pulse production as well as in processing in the district. For this scheme, the beneficiary has to form a group and get registered in the Companies Act, only then they can take advantage of this scheme. He also said that Krishi Vigyan Kendra is working as a new revolution. Technically in the coming days, there will be a big rejuvenation in the district. Referring to the activities of the center, Dr. Mohd. Mustafa emphasized on technology, mini sprinkler, drop-drop irrigation and their role in yield enhancement specially in pulses. He also discussed the role of KVK in pulse seed production as well as technology extension. Dr. Shalini, Subject matter Specialist Agronomy, emphasized challenges, Prospects and Strategy in Bundelkhand and also encouraged farmers to adopt resource conservation technology to conserve our depleting resources. Dr. Phool Kumari, Subject matter Specialist Home science, discussed about role of pulses in nutritional security and scope of value addition in the district. Dr. Surya Pratap Somvanshi, Subject matter Specialist Animal science, gave important tips on the effect of climate change on pulses. Dr. Chanchal Singh, Subject matter Specialist Plant protection, duly shed light on pulse crops related to the prevention of insect diseases and their aspects. Dr. S.P. Sonkar, Subject matter Specialist Agril Extension, while emphasizing information technology in pulses, he said that the center's portal, Facebook, WhatsApp group, YouTube, Instagram can solve their problems through technical messages.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hamirpur celebrated International Women's Day with the theme Women Empowerment through Knowledge & Skill Development to aware the women for their rights. The competitions related to Exhibition, Rangoli Design and Group Discussion among Farm Women have been conducted during the programme. The Awards have been given to two Farm Women.
जिले में मधुमक्खी पालन के स्वरोजगार को बढ़ावा देने के क्रम में बाँदा कृषि एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय, बाँदा के माननीय कुलपति, डॉ. नरेन्द्र प्रताप सिंह जी के प्रेरणा, आरणीय निदेशक प्रसार, डॉ. एन. के. वाजपेयी जी के मार्गदर्शन एवं कृषि विज्ञान केन्द्र, हमीरपुर के वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक एवं अध्यक्ष डॉ. मो. मुस्तफा जी के नेतृत्व में “मधुमक्खी पालन की वैज्ञानिक तकनीक” विषय पर पाँच दिवसीय क्षमता विकास कार्यक्रम आरम्भ हुआ। जिसमें मधुमक्खी पालन से जुड़ी सभी वैज्ञानिक पहलुओं पर केन्द्र वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा विस्तृत जानकारी जिले ग्रामीण नवयुवकों/नवयुवतियों को दी जाएगी। जिससे बुंदेलखण्ड के इस क्षेत्र विशेष में मधुमक्खी पालन को स्वरोजगार का एक सशक्त माध्यम बनाया जा सके। कार्यक्रम के आयोजक डॉ. चंचल सिंह, वैज्ञानिक (पौध सुरक्षा) ने बताया की हमीरपुर क्षेत्र में मधुमक्खी पालन की अपार सम्भावनाएँ विद्यमान है। हमलोग इस विषय पर विगत दो वर्षो से कार्य कर रहे है, जिसके आकड़े यह प्रदर्शित करते हैं कि इस क्षेत्र में मधुमक्खी पालन आसानी से किया जा सकता है। परन्तु ग्रीष्म व वर्षा के समय विशेष प्रबन्धन कि आवश्यकता होती है। जिले के कुछ किसान मधुमक्खी पालन से अच्छी आय का सृजन भी कर रहें है। केन्द्र कि वैज्ञानिक डॉ. फूल कुमारी जी शहद, पराग, राजषी अवलेह, मौन विष इत्यादि उत्पादों के चिकित्सीय गुणों से जिले नवयुवकों को अवगत कराया। जिसके क्रम में उन्होने बताया कि यदि हम शहद का सेवन गुन-गुने जल के साथ करे तो वजन को आसानी से कम किया जा सकता है, वही यदि इसे अदरक के साथ लें तो सर्दी-जुखाम से निजात मिलती है। केन्द्र के वैज्ञानिक डॉ. प्रशान्त कुमार, एस. पी. एस. सोमवंशी एवं शालिनी जी द्वारा अपने-अपने प्रदर्शन इकाईयों में प्रदर्शित नवीनतम तकनीकों से प्रतिभागियों को अवगत कराया गया। साथ ही साथ तकनीकों के वैज्ञानिक पहलूओं पर विस्तार से चर्चा हुई।
Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, Senior Scientist cum Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hamirpur received Best KVK Scientist Award by Indian Society of Extension Education, New Delhi in ISEE National Seminar on Transforming Indian Agriculture through Pluralistic and Innovative Extension Approaches Self Reliant India during 4-6 Oct, 2021 held at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra organized training programme on "Preparation of Poshak Thali for Pregnant Women" in training hall at KVK Hamirpur in a view to aware pregnant women about balance and nutritious diet from locally available grains to overcome malnutrition problem. A live model of Poshak Thali for per day diet of pregnant women was prepared by Dr. Phool Kumari, SMS-Home Science, KVK Hamirpur. Thirty eight farm women participated in the programme.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hamirpur U.P. was organized Poshan Vatika Mahaabhiyaan and plantation programme with collaboration of IFFCO at KVK, Hamirpur U.P. with a view to aware farmers/farm women/ girls about nutrition and its effect on health. The programme was inaugurated with lighting of lamp by the e chief Guest Smt. Asha Rani, Member of B.J.P. and other staff of KvK. About 100 plants was planted at KVK campus by the chief guest and farmers/farm women/ girls. 100 vegetable seed kit and fruit plants were distributed to the participants. On this occasion about 26 girls (Kanya) were taken food as a feast.
Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) Meeting is conducted to review Annual Progress Report of 2020-21 and discuss Action Plan for 2021-22. The meeting is chaired by Dr. Anand Kumar Singh, Associate Director Extension, BUAT, Banda. Dr. Md. Mustafa, Senior Scientist cum Head presented summary of Annual Progress Report of 2020-21 and Action Plan for 2021-22. All the Scientists/Subject Matter Specialists also presented Annual Progress Report, 2020-21 related to their subject area and Action Plan, 2021-22. The officers from line department i.e. Dy-Director Agriculture, District Horticulture Officer, Asst. Director Fisheries, Asst. Veterinary Officer, Manager Lead Bank and Progressive Farmers/Members of SAC have provided the their inputs/ideas for the benefits of farmers of the district.
Dr S.P.S. Somvanshi visited and diagnosed the farmers goat suggested mineral mixture as supplementation feeding @ 30 gm/ day / goat for increasing the growth rate, body weight gain and enhancing the milk production.

A training programme is conducted to ensure ownership and develop entrepreneurship in farmers of Hamirpur villages, to develop local content and create awareness, develop ICT in agriculture sustainable repository of updated Agricultural research information for users and to ensure availability of information to all through ICT based communication channel. ICT improve passage to climate smart solution as well as appropriate knowledge to use them. Provide actionable information to communities and governments on disaster prevention in real-time, while also providing advice on risk mitigation techniques. Facilitate market access for inputs as well as product marketing and trade in a varieties of ways. Detail discussed about different application of ICT in agriculture pre -cultivation (crop selection, land selection, calendar selection, access to credit) , crop cultivation (land preparation, sowing, input management, fertilizer Management, pest management) ,post harvest management (marketing ,transportation and food processing).
A training programme is conducted to strengthen the current Knowledge about Efficient Technologies for Resource Conservation & Higher Production at Department of Agriculture, Hamirpur. There were 48 Extension functionaries were present during the training. Detailed presentation was given by Dr. Shalini, Subject Matter Specialist-Agronomy about how to use resources efficiently, so that we can increase productivity and profitability along with environment sustainability. In the training programme feasibility and scope of conservation tillage, Zero tillage, Use of land Laser Leveler, DSR, Brown manuring were discussed under Hamirpur district scenario.

PF Training on Layout of Nutri- Garden for overcome malnutrition problem in rural area is conducted at village-Pachkhura Khurd, Block-Sumerpur of the district.
To overcome malnutrition problem in rural area, National Nutrition Week is Celebrated and Kitchen Garden Kit is Distributed for growing Rabi seasons vegetables at Nutri village Pachkhura khurd block Sumerpur, Hamirpur. A layout was develop of model kitchen garden of 150m2 and vegetable kit for Rabi season were provided to develop poshan vatika to 40farm women to combat malnutrition problem.
Extension personnel are being advised to add on technical knowledge for Agriculture development of district by base line data PRA TECHNIQUES & SWOT analysis and review last five year with remarks as well as gave appropriate suggestions next five year plan add in SREP
The lecture was organized by KVK, Hamirpur in off campus training program, on Nursery raising technique in Solanaceous crops on dated 31.08.2021. The farmers were very interested to know about the nursery raising techniques in Solanaceous crops and the interactive session and at the very end the Q & A session was completed successfully with their active participation.
Dr. S.P.S. Somvanshi conducted On-Campus Training on "Disease and Management Practices in Livestock in rainy season". He delivered a lecture about Udder diseases :-Diseases of udder become prevalent in this season. Dirty sheds during rainy season can cause mastitis in which fibrosis of udder takes place and milk ejection is either stopped or there are flakes found in milk. GIT parasites load , due to unhygienic conditions of the floor their is chances of gastrointestinal parasites in animals. Regular deworming is the ultimate solution. Deworming must be done in the beginning of the rainy season and throughout the season because worms multiply at a greater rate during this period. (2) Farmers should spray their animals regularly for removal of ectoparasites and cut all bushes near their sheds. (3) Farm should be disinfected using a disinfectant regularly. Protection of farm animals from inclement weather conditions of rainy season is of utmost important.

From 20-22, Feb 2021, Regional Agriculture Fair is organized at BUAT Banda. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hamirpur setup its stall to show different agricultural products produced in the district. The delegates, researchers and farmers across the country visited in the fair. Hon'ble Agriculture Minister U.P. Govt, Sri Surya Pratap Shahi Ji visited in the fair.

A training programme under Pradhanmantri Sichai Yojana sponsored by Horticulture Department has been organized at KVK Hamirpur. The scientists of KVK shared the information about the benefits of Micro-Irrigation Systems and they provided the knowledge about technical details of Drip and Sprinkler Systems.
